First Holy Communion Celebrations

- First Reconciliation and First Communion at
  Saint George
  
  Students typically receive these sacraments in grade two. Most sacramental preparation takes place during regular class time. There are additional retreats and rehearsals for each sacrament. All information about dates and time will be posted here on the website. Reconciliation usually takes place in January. First Communion usually takes place at the end of April or beginning of May.
  
  If your child was not baptized at St George, we will need and official copy of their Baptismal Record from the Church of Baptism. This can be uploaded during online registration, or a hard copy can be brought on the first day of classes.

  A few notes about sacramental years...
  If your child attends a Catholic school, they do NOT need to attend religious education at St George UNLESS it is a sacramental year. For example, if your child is in 2nd grade, and they will be making their 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion this year, they WILL need to attend religious education regardless of their school.
